We couldn’t have made a better decision in choosing Marietta Dance Academy! Our oldest daughter is starting her 6th year and our youngest is starting her 3rd year. From day one the teachers have been so welcoming! Our girls have gained confidence, grace and friendships as well as a love of different styles of dance. Dance requires a time commitment and the teachers have made the girls want to learn and grow. We are so grateful that the teachers maintain a positive and caring learning environment and we appreciate the costume choices that are age appropriate. The dedication that goes into competition dances and the big recital at the end of the year is remarkable. The dance program that Jill and the MDA staff run proves that hard work and determination not only build strong character for the girls, but also provide great results in all aspects of their lives with lessons that will last a lifetime.
My daughter loves dancing at MDA. I’ve watched her confidence grow so much in the last couple of years. MDA is like a second home for their dancers. Filled with amazing mentors to learn from.
All of the adult and teen instructors are so patient, inclusive, and helpful with the minis/younger dancers. It’s heartwarming to see as a parent.
The dance company runs like a well oiled machine. Communication is amazing and effortless between staff and parents. You can count on your kids being in numbers and costumes that are flattering and age appropriate. The studio itself is always clean and organized.

Marietta Dance Academy is such an amazing place. We have been blessed to be a part of the studio for over 12 years! Our three daughters have blossomed before our eyes into beautiful dancers and people inside and out thanks to the guidance and love from the staff at MDA. They have gained confidence and learned so much about hard work and dedication. They have also made life long friendships. Luckily our youngest is still only in third grade, so we have many years ahead of us at the studio to look forward to. Our small town of Marietta is lucky to have a place with such big hearted and knowledgeable instructors. In summary, we absolutely love Marietta Dance Academy!
We moved to Marietta from Baltimore, MD in 2024 and knew absolutely no one in this quaint little town. We had two little girls that loved to dance around the house and we figured it would be a great way to meet some new friends! We enrolled them at MDA and have so loved seeing their journey in dance!
Fast forward six years and they are absolutely flourishing because of the confidence, friendships and wonderful role models they have at MDA. We couldn’t have made a better decision for them and we look forward to many more years with this wonderful studio!

MDA is hands down the best dance studio around. Jill and her staff are always welcoming, kind hearted and professional. They have a variety of dance classes for everyone. If you've been with studio for years or it's your first day, they make you feel like family. They will help you reach your full potential and goals, all while having fun.
I have two daughters who have danced at MDA for 6 years! They also are on the competition team! We were immediately welcomed by everyone on staff and by our fellow dance families. Over the years, my daughters have gained many friends who I believe will be lifelong friends, they have learned discipline, respect and gained a tremendous amount of self confidence in addition to learning what it means to be a teammate and they have fun. We love our dance family, the studio director and highly recommend MDA to anyone looking for a dance studio. The costumes, music and dances are always age appropriate, the dancers are challenged but at the same time guided so that they are the best dancers they can be.
I came to Marietta Dance Academy when I moved to Ohio. Jill opened her doors to me and allowed me to join the MDA family. The staff and other dancers welcomed me with open arms and I have made lifelong connections. Jill has been a huge influence on me throughout my dance years, and even through college and helped me through so much. MDA is a family and will help each other no matter what, great place to join!!
When my daughters decided to dance five years ago, Marietta Dance Academy came highly recommended. I am so glad we chose to come here! MDA teaches so much more than dance. I've watched my girls learn how to work together as a team, mentor each other and problem solve. I've watched as my oldest went from awkward and clutzy to confident and graceful under Jill's instruction and encouragement. We gained a family when we came here, and I can't wait for another season to start.
I am so glad we chose to come Marietta Dance Academy. Jill and her staff not only teach great dance technique, but help the kids grow into good and kind human beings. She teaches grace, strength, responsibility, and kindness, and shows the kids how to support one another by supporting them. My daughter danced with Marietta Dance Academy for 10+ years. I really can't say enough good things about the studio, staff, and owner/instructor, Jill Ruff. Our experiences there were always positive. As a mother you see and learn a lot by being around the "dance biz" for that many years. I'm so grateful that we found MDA when my daughter was starting her dance career. She not only received high-quality instruction with a strong emphasis on proper form, (which is so important to learn as a beginner) she also gained self-confidence, poise, a strong work ethic, and organizational skills that helped her become successful not only as a dancer, but as a student as well. I truly believe her educational success, particularly throughout high school and now in college, has been positively influenced by her experiences as a dance student at Marietta Dance Academy. Jill has been very hands on with students and teaches them more than just steps, she teaches them team work, responsibility, and respect.
Marietta Dance Academy has been a wonderful environment for my daughter to grow in. Staff is incredible and so caring. Through the pandemic this year it was nice to have some normalcy with dance friends, even if Zoom was our only option.
Great program! Good variety with ballet, tap and tumbling. Very organized. The instructor has good rapport with the students and yet is firm. They're very flexible with leotards as well. They've installed commercial air cleaners too! Big commitment to sanitization.
Top notch in every way!! The dance instruction, attention to detail, choreography, costumes.... girls treated with respect yet high expectations for hard work. It pays off with great friendships and national awards!!
Marietta Dance Academy is more than just awards. Yes these amazing ladies have achieved a lot of success over the years because of there hard work and determination. These ladies have learned life skills that will provide them with the knowledge to be successful well beyond there dance careers. Not all students will have a dance career, these ladies are the next CEO, the next Doctor, the next lawyer, the next business owner, the next Judge. The point is easy, allow your child to grow in a environment that teaches young ladies to expect more out of themselves as well as to expect to be respected by others.
Jill is a quality person, dancer and instructor that I have had the pleasure of knowing for a lifetime. You could not go wrong in any studio she is involved with! I would recommend her to anyone!
I love the dedication that MDA has to each dancer and I feel as though my girls are being taught that hard work pays off! it is a great balance of learning, stucture and feeling loved and supported at the same time.

Taking classes here has opened up a whole new side of my daughter. I am constantly catching her doing steps she's learned or trying to do steps she saw from the older girls, in her own little mini recital. Taking classes here has made her want to be a better dancer. And Miss Jill is the right one for the job. She takes the time to really care for all her students.
Marietta dance academy is a great studio with great teachers and staff who truly care about not just their students but their families too. They aren’t just taught to dance they are taught so much much more. We made a choice over 10 years ago to join this studio and glad we did . Won’t find a better place to be. We love our Marietta dance family. Jill Ruff has definitely done a great job with my child and many others like her..
My daughter has gained so much confidence and loves her dance classes. Dance night is the best night of the week! Jill and her staff are very supportive of all the dancers.

So my daughter has been dancing with MDA for almost a year now, and I have to say I am so thankful for this studio, they teach girls dance and how to be confident young women. My daughter needed help with a few steps, for her recital, and I with six left feet seemed to be making things worse when she practiced at home. After a much longer than normal practice a few days before the recital Ms. Jill was willing to take a few extra minutes to show my daughter her steps and what she was not catching (or I). Today she practiced her dance and nailed it. This a studio that wants every child to succeed. Thank you!!
